Ashrafi & Zad Design Principal Raha Ashrafi along with senior designers Saba Shenasi and Niusha Pourborji have commenced a research project on the topic of Inclusive Urban Environments for senior citizens.
The research focuses on wellness, nutrition, therapy and mental health for senior citizens in Tehran. The research objective is to identify needs of our senior citizens and their impact on community spaces. Together with experts in sociology and psychology, Ashrafi & Zad Design is exploring how to enrich our public spaces through redefining the standards for these spaces, improve construction and renovation methods in accordance with global standards and the needs of all citizens.
